One Smile

One Smile

Enough to blow away years of misery

One Smile

and I melt on your feet

One Smile

My heart burst with fullness

One Smile

and I feel so near to you

One Smile

and all I can do

is Thank you

One Smile

and I know I 'm taken care of

One Smile

for the Guru

Sorry Mr. Terrorist ! You picked the wrong city

At 3 am on 26th Nov morning, five hours into the attack, with gunfire and grenade explosions going above her, the receptionist picked up the phone at the Taj and said "The Taj Mahal Hotel, Good morning" . Mumbai will not be cowed, it will not be beaten , it will not be beaten, Yes , if the entire city had a receptionist as a metaphor , I believe that this is exactly what the world out there would have heard from Bombayites that fateful night .

The present moment says
We are fast approaching a the stage of ultimate inversion, the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens act only by permissionm , which is the darkest periods in the Indian history .. I think we were better off being ruled by the british.. Democracy has become a rogue for India .. Its a tipping point for trigerring one more battle for freedom .. as to what we fought for 61 years ago .. The FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT to "LIVE"

Dont just sit there watching news .. till the new channels themselves forget it .. We are a country of one billion people if all of us actually did something this time .. theres is no way the'd let this happen to us everytime .. dont forget it

NOT THIS TIME

Blind Date

One day as I was traveling back to Bandra in that crowded train, there was this man sitting next to me wearing white kurta pyjama & dark glasses and looking out of the window. He was humming an old hindi film song. Suddenly he asked me without looking at me, why am I so restless. I asked him how does he know that I am restless. He said my body language indicated that. After sometime he again said that I must wear colourful clothes. I looked at my stained cream coloured T-Shirt and kept quiet. Then he said" sometimes a colourful shirt can change your state of mind". I asked him why was he wearing a white kurta pyjama. He said that is because he was not restless. At Dadar station he got up walked towards the door of the local train, pushing the crowd. Somebody shouted "get off my foot, cant you see you are standing on it". He turned towards this man and said," I am sorry I did't see. I am blind" and disappeared in the crowd.
I looked at my stained cream T-Shirt and wondered at the thought of the blind man talking about colours, Since then, whenever I am feeling low or not in my elements or slightly off colour, I pick up a red shirt and my day changes its colour. Try it… It may work for you too…

Ice Creams and The present Moment

srry bawa but its the only way to tell my freinds about this..

This is from a few years ago...Beamish and i were walking along a beautiful shady lane in the dadar parsi colony of Bombay. We were both eating a naturals ice cream... and suddenly Beamish got very excited... his eyes were shining, he had had a realization! He said Do you see how we feel that the last bite of the ice cream is special? We eat the whole thing, but then really, really savour the last bite... Why don't we eat each bite as if it's the last one?!Why can't we live life, each moment to its fullest? Savouring it, relishing it... Like its our last...Living in the present moment means eating each bite of ice cream as if it were the last one!!!We really enjoyed our ice creams after that... :) I love Ice creams
